The Orlando EDC welcomes RP Funding as a new Corporate Council Investor. RP Funding is a direct Florida mortgage lender with offices in Orlando and Tampa. As a direct lender, RP Funding underwrites, closes and funds its own loans in order to offer customers the best deals and superior level of service.

The Orlando EDC is pleased to welcome Emirates Airlines as a Corporate Council Investor. The Emirates Group operates across six continents with 75,000 employees representing 160 nations.

The Orlando EDC is happy to welcome Balfour Beatty Construction, the third largest general builder in the nation, as a Corporate Council Investor.

The Orlando EDC is pleased to welcome the Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) as a Policy Council Level Investor.

The Expressway Authority is committed to improving the mobility and quality of life in Central Florida while providing access to major economic centers. With more than 30 years of experience in executive transportation management, Laura Kelley, executive director, will represent the CFX on the EDC board of directors. Since 2013, Kelley has been acting as executive director, advancing projects such as the Wekiva Parkway, the I-4/SR 408 Interchange and All Aboard Florida.

The EDC is honored to welcome Deloitte Consulting as a Partner Level Investor.

The Orlando EDC worked with Deloitte Consulting to open a U.S. Delivery Center in the Orlando region in July 2014. The project created 1,000 jobs held in a 130,000-square-foot tech center in Lake Mary and a capital investment of $24.6 million.

The EDC is proud to welcome the Canaveral Port Authority (CPA) as an Ambassador Council Investor.

Recently, the CPA launched its container cargo business and wrapped two containers displaying the regional business brand, "Orlando. You don't know the half of it." While traveling abroad with cargo from Florida, the containers will be fitted with tracking devices that will transmit from different countries and ports around the world.

Universal Orlando Resort recently joined the Orlando EDC as a Policy Council Investor. Universal contributes an estimated $1 billion economic impact in the Orlando region with its Cabana Bay Hotel, Transformers and Harry Potter Diagon Alley attractions, to name a few. John McReynolds, senior vice president of external affairs, serves as the representative on the EDC Board. He is also the incoming chairman of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) and a member of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association. John has been with Universal since 1995. The EDC is excited to have Universal Orlando Resort and John McReynolds involved in our commitment to creating an environment where business and industry can thrive.

Wendy H. Brandon (CEO, HCA Central Florida Regional Hospital), current EDC board member, recently joined the Orlando EDC Policy Council Investors. Wendy was appointed by Governor Rick Scott to serve on the Board of Trustees for the Seminole State College of Florida. She is also the chair of CareerSource Central Florida, serves on the Seminole County Regional Chamber of Commerce board, Leadership Seminole and is a member of the Sanford Rotary Club. We are pleased to have Wendy engaged to help set EDC strategy to aggressively recruit, retain and grow jobs in the region.
